ABC Discs was founded by Dan Pastore PDGA #4320 in Sycamore, Illinois, as a true family business. From the start, Dan wanted to make reliable, high-quality discs that helped players of all levels enjoy disc golf.
Dan was a passionate disc golfer who began competing in 1986 when the sport was very young and played in more than 300 disc golf tournaments. For Dan, disc golf was a way to fulfill his competitive, athletic, and social needs.
In the early days, ABC Discs operated right out of Dan’s home. He and his family packed and shipped every order, turning their living room into a “warehouse” and his passion into a community brand.
Dan’s Legacy
Dan was more than a business owner—he was a father, husband, and lifelong disc golfer who believed in giving back. He donated thousands of discs to tournaments, schools, and charities, helping grow the sport across the country. His unexpected passing in 2020 left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Dan set goals that reached both professional and recreational players. He wanted every boy and girl, man and woman around the world to have the opportunity to experience disc golf. He hoped professional players would one day move beyond competing for each other’s entry fees and be able to build real careers in the sport he loved.
ABC Discs Manufacturing
ABC Discs have always been manufactured in the USA. While Dan owned and invested in the molds he used various different independent plastic companies to produce his discs.
Continuing the Mission
Today, ABC Discs continues Dan’s work through a partnership with Zing Polymer Formations, our trusted molding partner since the beginning. Together, we’re keeping his original molds alive and maintaining the same quality and feel players love.
Supporting the Family
All proceeds from ABC Discs sales go directly to support the Pastore family. Every disc purchased helps preserve Dan’s legacy and continues his tradition of generosity and family values.
ABC’s Core Values
